Unique methods and styles...
Fernandez's horse sculptures developed into four uniquely different
styles: the wire style in the fashion of "Freedom's Gallop," the
ethereous style which lends more toward kinetic movement, the
wrapped style which allows the illusion of a solid piece without prohibitive
weight and materials, and the flat silhouette style which contains
elements of the ethereous style.

Ethereous

have been sculpted in bronze and
steel, with patinas ranging from
golds, grays, and chestnut browns.
This style suggests movement by its
very design, but the gentle kinetic
movement, initiated by wind or touch,
wind truly brings these magnificent
works to life. The air(ethers) plays as
important a role as the actual
sculpted shapes.
