Community Projects
Fernandez believes that sharing his gifts in a way that
builds community is essential to his artistic and spiritual
calling. From group art shows, hands on demonstrations,
and public speaking, to building up an art facility and
providing a home and outreach for a local church, Tomas
continues to seek new ways to involve and bless his
community.

Tomas Fernandez, with his wife Bonnie, founded
The Archangel Arts Center in Madison Virginia.
He renovated a facility to include music rooms, a
dance studio and gallery showrooms for Christian
artists. He initiated an annual Chocolate and Fine
Arts Festival. The ministry grew quickly over the
first five years. Teachers, students, and
professional artists were provided with a venue
where they could praise God through their
creativity and find community in a
multi-denominational setting.
Because the facility was offered for all churches
and all people, the larger funding needed to
maintain the growth needs of the building were
not to be found. Fernandez hoped that by placing
the responsibility into the hands of one local
church that this need would be met and both the
ministry and facility would continue to grow for the
community.
The facility was gifted to a local church, Harvest
church. They were in need of a building for
worship and the art center was in need of the
time and talents of full time committed volunteers.
Many of their members had already actively
participated and volunteered with the Archangel
Arts Center. Sadly, with the transition pressures
and county requirements to adaptations for the
building to meet code for a church, the ministry
has remained dormant since the transition.
Fernandez is praying for Harvest Church to be
granted wisdom and inspiration on the best way
to revive this beautiful vision and a much needed
ministry for the community.
